Ashley Gates

Ashley Gates is a graphic designer/illustrator/costume designer born in Florida but is residing in Sulphur, Louisiana with her husband and her animals. Her artwork is very diverse ranging in many mediums between traditional and digital. She loves to try new mediums and creating mashup art of pop culture characters, semi-realistic anime/manga, and fantasy art. 

 

She’s been working as a graphic designer for over 12 years and has had her art featured in numerous gallery shows between Texas and Louisiana as well as two solo gallery shows “Ethereal Nouveau: Celestial Melodies & Gilded Divinations,” at the Art Studio (Beaumont, TX 2023) and “Ephemeral Dreams” (Imperial Calcasieu Museum Lake Charles, LA 2024). She has also won Honorable Mention and was a finalist multiple times for the Illustrators of the Future Award. 

 

When she isn’t doing art Ashley really loves playing D&D and Magic the Gathering, playing video games, and chilling with her cats watching Sci-fi, anime, and fantasy movies/shows.
