Creative Roots started in in 2018 but my love for plants, art, and spirit started in my childhood. I spent a lot of time outdoors on my own explorations in the woods, following wild paths, trailing after winding creeks, and lounging in old oaks. Young me would have no idea how that love for the wild would have sent me on a journey far beyond my wildest dreams. I fell in love with plant medicine while attending The Sacred Journey School of Herbalism in Austin Tx but my strong SWLA roots brought me home to share my knowledge with anyone who would listen. Learning about the medicine was key but learning about the spirit of the plants was more important that I could have realized.  Little did I know my quest for spiritual and herbal healing would lead me to where I am now. 

I met so many amazing souls along the way that when I finally could open my own place of course I reached out to pull up other local creators and makers in our city. Creative Roots now shares space with over 20 local artisans ranging from herbalists, artists, authors, and more.

What started as a need for myself ended up being a need for everyone else too! I proudly offer over 100 organic plants and herbs on the Herb Wall.

There is something so soothing about having all my herbs lined up on the wall with a clear view. My heart swells when I see how others appreciate that feeling too. 

I have had the opportunity to perfectly curate the energy and products in this little shop in the heart of our city. I did not let that opportunity go to waste. Each artisan is hand-picked, the energy is purposefully curated, and staff are as close as family. When you shop at Creative Roots you are not just supporting one person. You are supporting the dreams of many.
